Designed for: Most service-orientated businesses that are exposed to errors and omissions claims. Examples of such businesses would include IT companies, PR & Marketing Consultants, Management Consultants, Copyright and Trademark Agencies, Recruitment Consultants, Event Management Companies, Sales Promotion and Direct Mail Agencies, Printers and Advertising agencies.

This is by no means an exhaustive list and any of the underwriters will be happy to discuss the requirements of individual companies. Bespoke schemes for groups or associations in service industries will be considered.

Key Cover: Insurance against legal liability for claims arising out of negligent acts, errors or omissions in performing insured services for others.

Depending on insured's type of business, can endorse to cover contingent bodily injury and/or property damage, infringement of intellectual property and/or provision of services via the Internet.

Territory: Worldwide.

Jurisdiction: Worldwide.

Qualifications: Prefer applicants who have been in operation at least three years and/or principals with related experience. Helpful if applicant uses standard contract with clients.

Period: 12 month periods.

Available Limits: £5,000,000 aggregate primary or excess capacity.
Additional limits may be available.

Minimum Premium: £3,000 for £1,000,000 aggregate limit, excluding schemes.

Self-Insured Retention: Dependent on category but subject to £5,000 minimum each claim.

Information Requirements: Media/Professional application form; brochure or advertising material describing services; copies of standard contracts; financial statement; curriculum vitae of key personnel; copy of standard review procedures.

Excluded Classes: Accountants, Architects, Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers and Surveyors.
